JB Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals said today that its board has approved the buy-back of up to 33.33 lakh shares of the company for up to Rs 130 crore. The company has offered to pay Rs 390 per share. This excludes transaction costs such as fees, brokerage, taxes and duties, JB Chemicals said in a BSE filing. The Board of Directors of the company has, at its meeting held today, approved the buy-back of up to 33,33,333 fully paid-up shares of the company through the ‘Tender Offer’ route, it added. These shares represent 3.99 per cent of the total paid-up equity share capital of the company, it said. NEW DELHI: Shares of GAIL rose over 2 per cent on Friday after Indian Railways teamed up with the state gas utility to use natural gas in its workshops and production units. The move will pave the way for supply of natural gas to railway workshops, integral coach factories, loco workshops, DEMU sheds and the like along the existing and upcoming pipeline networks of GAIL. This will also be applicable to the prestigious eastern India pipeline project under execution. The stock rose 2.08 per cent to hit a high of Rs 384 on the BSE early today. The aim is to replace industrial gases like dissolved acetylene, LPG and furnace oil/high-speed diesel (HSD) with environment-friendly natural gas. In the first phase, as many as 23 workshops will use natural gas by December 31. It will be expanded to all 54 workshops and production units, and railway establishments — including base kitchens, guest houses and hostels — by June 30 next year, Railway Board Chairman Ashwani Lohani told PTI. Shares of realty firm DLF hogged limelight on Thursday after the company’s FY18 annual report showed that ace investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala was holding 0.67 per cent stake in the realty firm as of March 31. Tracking the development, shares of the company advanced 2.71 per cent to hit a high of Rs 223.40 in Thursday’s trade. Jhunjhunwala was holding 1.19 crore share as of March 31, 2018 against 75 lakh share on April 1, 2017, media reports said. Chairman KP Singh believes that the company would achieve faster growth in the development of offices and retail space on the back of its partnership with Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC, according to a report by PTI. However, he said the parent company DLF would also continue to build commercial projects, separate from the joint venture with the GIC.
