Regulation Belgium’s Financial Services and Markets Authority has updated the list of websites it says are cryptocurrency trading platforms showing signs of fraud. An advisory committee of the U.S. Internal Revenue Service ( IRS ) wants the agency to provide additional guidelines for the taxation of crypto transactions, according to a 2018 general report published Oct. 24. Although in 2014 the IRS had already issued commentary specifically on digital currencies ,  recommending they be treated as a property, the Information Reporting Program Advisory Committee (IRPAC) believes that crypto-specific taxation should be reviewed due to the growing public interest in cryptocurrencies. ICICI Bank on Friday posted 55.84 per cent year-on-year fall in profit at Rs 908.88 crore for the quarter ended September 30. Analysts in an ET Now poll had estimated the profit figure at Rs 815 crore. The lender had posted a net profit of Rs 2,058.19 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Provisions and contingencies dipped 11.30 per cent YoY and 33.11 per cent quarter-on-quarter to Rs 3,944.29 crore in Q2FY19. Asset quality of the lender improved during the quarter under review. Percentage of gross non-performing assets (NPA) eased to 8.54 per cent in Q2FY19 over 8.81 per cent in Q1FY19. Percentage of net NPA also improved to 3.65 per cent from 4.19 per cent during the period. Net interest income of the private sector lender increased 12.41 per cent YoY to Rs 6,417.58 crore during the quarter under review.
