Dry ends, frizz, sun damage – your hair has probably suffered at least one of these things this summer. So what to do to get it back to looking sleek and shiny for the new season? We asked Oli, the manager of our Blue Tit hair salon at Topshop Oxford Circus, to solve some of the most common summer hair dilemmas for us…

My hair is damaged from the heat. How do I bring my hair back to life?

“Get rid of those ugly dry ends with a hair cut, then look after it with heat protecting sprays. We use the the Davines SU range in our salons, which contains SPF and aftersun.”

What’s the best way to cope with frizz?

“To combat humidity, you need to get to know your equipment: apply a blow dry primer like Davines LOVE curl primer, then blow dry your hair properly with a round brush – it only takes 10 mins in the morning. But if you’re beat for time, do it the night before and a silk pillowcase will keep the static away.”

I have a heart-shaped face but I don’t know whether I would look good in short hair?

“Heart shape, round shape, square shape, banana shape… Any hair can suit any face, you just have to be confident in yourself to wear it. Just book in a consultation with one of our stylists and we can discuss the best options to make it work for you!”

My hair seems to go greasy quicker in the summer. Any tips on how to slow it down or prevent it?

“Do a cool rinse on the scalp to close all the pores. Shampoo with Davines rebalancing shampoo which helps normalises sebum production. Then carry a dry shampoo in your bag to refresh your hair throughout the day. It will be your best friend…”

What is the miracle product for bleached hair to help it remain smooth and silky?

“Olaplex is the magic product that restores the health of your hair. Ask for Olaplex in any Blue Tit salon (we offer the two-part deep conditioning treatment) and then use the take-home bottle in between your salon visits. It will change your life.”

A Redesigned Bitcoin.org One of our goals in 2018 has been to modernize the look and feel of Bitcoin.org. Each day, tens of thousands of new users come to Bitcoin.org to learn how to get started using the currency and technology. The site has grown exponentially in popularity as Bitcoin adoption has increased. Last year alone, there were over 30 million visitors to Bitcoin.org. These visitors viewed the site’s pages over 200 million times. Many of these pages are often the first results on search engines for bitcoin-related phrases and terms. As traffic and engagement has increased, however, the design has become very dated. In fact, the current look and feel of the site has pretty much remained the same for ~5 years, going all the way back to 2013.
