Aretha Franklin is surrounded by friends and family

Soul legend Aretha Franklin is gravely ill, according to a new report.

The report comes from veteran reporter Roger Friedman, who has a relationship with the Franklin family. In his column, written for Showbiz411, he writes that the legendary singer is bed ridden in her hometown of Detroit. She is surrounded by family and friends, who are asking for “prayers and privacy.”

Franklin, who is 76-years-old,  last performed in November 2017 for the Elton John AIDS Foundation in New York.

Her last public show came around this time last year at Philadelphia’s Mann Center. Friedman called the performance “a miraculous show as Aretha was already then fighting exhaustion and dehydration.”

The site has grown exponentially in popularity as Bitcoin adoption has increased. Last year alone, there were over 30 million visitors to Bitcoin.org. These visitors viewed the site’s pages over 200 million times. Many of these pages are often the first results on search engines for bitcoin-related phrases and terms. As traffic and engagement has increased, however, the design has become very dated. In fact, the current look and feel of the site has pretty much remained the same for ~5 years, going all the way back to 2013.
